NSW:Mark Latham reported to education official

MARK LATHAM has been reported to New South Wales education officials for intimidating
the mother of former Australian cricketers STEVE and MARK WAUGH.

The Sunday Telegraph reports, the former Labor leader approached BEV WAUGH from behind
at a free government swim program on Tuesday as she was teaching at a Camden pool, in
Sydney's southwest.

According to the newspaper, Mr LATHAM told the 65-year-old the children weren't learning
anything and threatened to withdraw them, leaving Mrs WAUGH visibly shaken.

The qualified teacher's supervisor reported Mr LATHAM to the Department of Education,
saying he was intimidating and had been flexing his muscle.

A department spokesperson says they're making enquiries into the incident.

Mr LATHAM told the paper it was a private matter.
